Derek Marshall Lighting has introduced its new Marrakesh pendant, made from three separate, overlapping kiln-formed petals of American art glass. The glass petals, fastened by stainless-steel screws, allow for an interesting play of light both through and around the glass. The glass comes in a variety of colors, and the hardware, cord and canopy also come in several colors and finishes. Measuring 12 inches high and 8.5 inches in diameter, the pendant is also available in multiples on a single fixture. www.derekmarshall.com. |

The modular Conseta sofa, designed by Friedrich-Wilhelm Moeller, seems like low-key lobby seating until you realize that you can stretch it out to seat 12 or 15 in a vast space. The Twister system, designed by Studio D'Urbino Lomazzi, curves itself into open or protected work areas. The red Anubis lounger angles backwards into a shelf. Office Furniture Design (Rockport Publishers, 2007) explores revolutionary office furnishings designed by some of the best minds in the business. The book, edited by Oscar Sensio, includes photographs, sketches, drawings and descriptions of everything from tables and chairs to portable work pods and more. www.rockpub.com.
