The outdoors, they say, is the new indoors. Therefore, clients are demanding more useable, stylish space under a high ceiling of blue skies. Here are some new pieces that will polish off a patio, garden, pool deck or commercial plaza.

The Hotspot chair by Freeline is a fun, funky addition to outdoor lounging options, with its overscale egg shape. The resin wicker and aluminum chair, which comes with a Sunbrella seat cushion, is available in red, green or natural. Height is 59 inches, with a 43.4-inch diameter. D'Firo Design has introduced the Vizor patio umbrella, a sleek, angular shading device that provides shelter from the sun no matter what time of day. Unlike a circular or octagonal umbrella that is most efficient at high noon, the Vizor casts shade all day long by simply rotating the asymmetrical canopy. Tuuci has introduced two stylish new ways to have it made in the shade. The Crescent Parasol features an oversized canopy valance with polished "Trillion" rib ends and creates an additional sun and moisture barrier. The umbrella is available in 10- or 13-foot hexagons and comes in a variety of fabrics. The Crescent Pavilion, a 13-foot-square outdoor "room," features sweeping arcs that cascade to the polished Trillion rib ends. It also comes in a wide selection of fabrics. The Cocoon Hammock from Henry Hall Designs can hold up to four adults in stylish repose. With a 9.5-square-foot seating area, the Olivier LePensec-designed hammock is set on a taukkyan hardwood frame embedded with stainless-steel components. The hammock pad is covered with a Batyline fabric, suspended by metal hooks and ropes from the frame. A removable Batyline "ceiling" is also available, as are linen/polyester curtains. Walter's Wicker, Inc. has introduced the Randi resin-weave club chair. The sumptuously contoured chair, which features plush seat and back cushions, is made of an aluminum frame covered with woven resin. Giati Designs' Nuance collection takes inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, with the addition of classic modern detailing.
