Welcome
I have yet to experience this year’s supposed summer doldrums. Despite an economy that everyone says is stuck in “pause” mode, we here at Sources+Design have been awfully busy with good things.
For one, we’ve found some terrific recent projects that we’re happy to share with you--great clubhouse designs and the bright, sleek Denver headquarters of Dex, amongst other things. There also seems to be a large uptick in work, as witnessed by the new projects highlighted in this issue’s “Swatches” column.
Additionally, we’re out and about. I recently participated in a very well-received “meet the press” event at the AIA Arizona headquarters in Phoenix, during which architects could present recent work to local editors. (Yes, I did find some special projects we’ll be featuring in future issues.)
We’d also like to invite you to join Sources+Design for IFDA’s Tableau 09 event at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. The tablescaping design competition and dinner benefits the Board of Visitors of Ryan House, a pediatric healthcare resource in Phoenix. Visit www.ifdatableau.com for details.
Finally, we’ve received numerous responses to both sides of our July/August “Room for a View: Interior Design Legislation” story. Here are a few of those letters to the editor.
