Partnering with decorative metal fabricator Móz Designs, DeepStream now offers a vibrant line of environmentally-friendly bins that add a touch of glamour to public area recycling.
Think luxury hotels, high-end shopping centers, amusement parks, airports or other high-visibility commercial and institutional sites, says Sheila Boyce, president of DeepStream Designs in Miami, FL.
“Attractive recycle bins are the new fashion accessory for glamorous hotel and building lobbies, pool and lounge areas,” said Boyce, “while also adding visual excitement to museums, theatres, theme parks or recreational facilities, such as ski resorts, water parks or other public attractions.”

GE Energy Smart® LED bulb
The inventor of the first visible light-emitting diode makes history again this year as it begins to show customers a 40-watt replacement GE Energy Smart® LED bulb available later this year or early 2011. GE Lighting's new LED bulb is expected to consume just 9 watts, provide a 77-percent energy savings, and produce nearly the same light output as a 40-watt incandescent bulb, while lasting more than 25 times as long.
The new GE Energy Smart® LED bulb is expected to outperform currently available products that may be underwhelming consumers right now. GE scientists and engineers designed the bulb to better direct light downward on the intended surface and all around, not just out the top of a lampshade, as most current LED bulbs are prone to do. The new GE LED bulb offers 450 lumens-the Energy Star® threshold to be considered a 40-watt incandescent replacement.

Nora Lighting: Saria
Saria, a celestially-inspired LED mini-pendant with colorful glowing edge, has been introduced by Nora Lighting as a visually-exciting accent for home, hospitality, retail or commercial installations.
Featuring a micro-sized glass disk that measures just 4 ¾ inches across and ¼-inch deep, the Saria produces two distinct visual effects: Model 1W-LED features a cluster of multiple LED modules with a soft downlight glow. Model 3W-LED includes three 1-watt LEDs that produce an even, mini-flood of concentrated light without glare.
Circling the petite glass disks are bands of edge-lit LEDs that glow in blue, green, red or white. As with all Nora LEDS, the fixture is cool to the touch and there is no projected heat or UV rays. Color temperature is 3000K. The fixture is rated at 50,000 hours of performance at 70 percent of total lumen output. Finish hardware is offered in brushed nickel and mounts to a Nora mono-point canopy.
